Day 337 · December 1
Kids Corner — Day 337
Daniel 11:2–35 · 1 John 3:7–24 · Psalm 122:1–9 · Proverbs 29:1
Today’s story
Daniel sees kingdoms rise, schemes unfold, and rulers exalt themselves. Human power looks impressive for a season, but God remains Lord over history.
John makes the family resemblance of God’s children practical: turn from sin, love one another, and rest in Christ rather than mere words.
Jerusalem is pictured as a place of worship, unity, justice, and peace. God’s people are invited to pray for its good. Proverb Summary Stubborn resistance to correction eventually brings ruin. A teachable heart is a gift. Discover Jesus Jesus is the righteous Son who destroys the works of the devil and teaches His people to love with action and truth. Reflect Where do I need to receive correction instead of resisting it? Fellowship Ask someone you trust how Christ’s love could become more visible in your actions.
The story in children’s words
An angel told Daniel about many kings who would fight in the years ahead. Kings of the south and kings of the north would rise and fall, and armies would come and go. One proud king would even hurt God's holy place and stop the offerings. But the angel also said the people who know their God would be strong and do great things. Some wise teachers would suffer, but God would make them clean and pure. John wrote that God's children show who they are by doing what is right and by loving others. He said Jesus laid down His life for us, so we should love others in real deeds, not just in words. Jesus is the love God showed us, and He helps His people stand strong.
