It All Points to Jesus

Day 162 · June 11

A devotional for today

Today’s readings

Old Testament

The ark enters the Temple and God’s glory fills the house. Solomon prays toward heaven, knowing that even the highest heavens cannot contain God.

New Testament

Stephen confronts resistance to the Holy Spirit and sees Jesus standing at God’s right hand before he is killed. Persecution scatters believers - and the gospel travels with them.

Psalm

Affliction does not get the final word; the LORD is righteous.

Proverb

Peace in a home is better than abundance with strife.

Discover

The glory that filled Solomon’s Temple prepares us to understand God dwelling with His people. Stephen sees the risen Jesus in heavenly glory.

Reflect

What would it look like for my life to welcome God’s presence today?

Fellowship

Share one place in today’s reading where you saw Jesus more clearly. Then discuss the reflection question together.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, keep my eyes on You and shape my life by Your Word. Holy Spirit, give me grace to trust, obey, and follow You today. Amen.

Live

Make room for God’s presence through prayer, obedience, and praise. Lord Jesus, help me not only to know Your Word but to live it. Transform my heart so that my life reflects You more each day.
