Today’s readings

Chronicles opens with generations of names, tracing God’s faithfulness through real families and history toward Israel’s royal line.

The Lord assures Paul that he will testify in Rome. A murderous plot cannot cancel God’s purpose.

David sleeps surrounded by enemies because the Lord sustains him.

A strong spirit and a teachable mind help us endure.

Genealogies remind us that God works across generations. The line ultimately moves toward Jesus, and Acts shows that His mission cannot be stopped.

Can I trust God when I cannot yet see how the pieces fit together?

Tell how God has used another generation to strengthen your faith.

Jesus, help me trust Your purpose even when I cannot see the whole story. Amen.

Remember one person whose faith helped bring you closer to Christ.
