It All Points to Jesus

Day 200 · July 19

A devotional for today

Today’s readings

Old Testament

David charges Solomon to seek God and build the Temple. The people give generously, and David praises God as the true owner of everything.

New Testament

Christ died for us while we were still sinners. Adam brought sin and death; Jesus brings grace and life.

Psalm

The person who may dwell with God walks in integrity.

Proverb

Discipline and uncontrolled anger both carry consequences.

Discover

This is one of July’s clearest views of Jesus: we were helpless, but Christ died for us. The greater Son of David brings a Kingdom and life that death cannot defeat.

Reflect

What does it mean to me that Christ loved me before I could make myself worthy?

Fellowship

Finish the sentence: “Today I am thankful Jesus…”

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for loving sinners and giving Your life for us. Amen.

Live

Live today as someone deeply loved by Christ.
