Old Testament
God dwells in holiness yet comes near to the humble. He exposes false fasting and injustice, promises light to those who live rightly, and declares that the Redeemer will come.
New Testament
Paul writes from prison with joy because Christ is being proclaimed. Whether by life or death, his desire is that Christ be honored.
Psalm
From youth to old age, the psalmist asks God not to abandon him so he can tell the next generation of God's strength.
Proverb
Foolish schemes are sinful, and adversity reveals the depth of our strength.
Discover
Isaiah promises a Redeemer; Paul has met Him. Jesus is so precious to Paul that even prison cannot take away his purpose: to live is Christ.
Reflect
What would it look like for Christ - not comfort - to be the central purpose of my life?
Fellowship
What testimony about God's faithfulness should be passed to the next generation?
Prayer
Jesus, be the purpose of my life. Let every season become a place where You are honored. Amen.
Live
Tell someone younger one thing God has taught you through the years.
