The story in children’s words

Five kings came to fight against Gibeon, so Joshua marched all night to help them. God threw great hailstones down from the sky, and Joshua prayed, and the sun stood still until the battle was won. God fought for His people! Then Jesus told about a rich man who wore fine clothes and ate big meals every day. A poor man named Lazarus lay at his gate, hungry and full of sores, and no one helped him. When they died, the angels carried Lazarus to a place of comfort, but the rich man was in pain, far away. Jesus also said we must forgive our brother every time he says he is sorry, and that faith even as small as a mustard seed is strong. Jesus warns us to care for the poor now, and to trust Him with even a little faith.
