The story in children’s words

God showed the people that Achan was the man who had sinned, and his sin was put away from the camp. Then Joshua led the army back to the city of Ai, and this time God gave them the win. Joshua built an altar and read God's law out loud to everyone. After that, some men from Gibeon tricked Joshua with old bread and worn-out clothes, and he made a promise to them without asking God first. Later, Jesus told about a manager who used money wisely before he lost his job. Jesus said that whoever is faithful with a little will also be faithful with much. He also said no one can serve two masters, God and money. Jesus teaches us to be faithful and true, and to let God be our only Master.
