The story in children’s words

In the new land, God's people kept the Passover, and the manna from heaven stopped, because now they could eat food grown in the land. Joshua met the commander of God's army near Jericho. Then God made the strong walls of Jericho fall down flat. But one man named Achan secretly kept things that belonged to God, and his sin hurt the whole people. Later, Jesus told three stories about lost things being found: a lost sheep, a lost coin, and a lost son. When the lost son came home, his father ran to him and hugged and kissed him. Jesus said heaven fills with joy when even one sinner turns back to God. Jesus is the good Shepherd who searches for the lost until He finds them.
