Kids Corner — Day 268
Isaiah 45:11–48:11 · Ephesians 4:1–16 · Psalm 68:19–35 · Proverbs 24:3–4
Today’s story
God exposes idols as powerless burdens and declares that His purposes will stand. He carries His people rather than needing to be carried by them.
Paul urges believers to walk worthy of their calling, protect unity, and grow toward maturity under Christ, the Head.
Day after day God bears our burdens; His strength deserves praise.
Wisdom and understanding build a strong household.
The story in children’s words
God said, "I am the LORD, and there is no other God." The idols that people carved could not speak, could not move, and could not save anyone. God alone knows the end from the very beginning, and what He plans always happens. He promised to carry His people from the time they were babies until their hair turned gray. Paul wrote that Jesus gives His church one heart: one Lord, one faith, one body. Jesus gives different gifts to different people, so the whole church can grow up strong, like a body growing, with Jesus as its head. There is only one true God, and He carries His children all their lives, all the way home to Jesus.
It points to Jesus
Idols must be carried, but God carries His people. Ephesians shows Jesus as the living Head who gives gifts so His body can grow in truth and love.
Talk about it
How can I strengthen unity without pretending differences do not exist?
