The story in children’s words

God said the false prophets told lies and made-up dreams, but His true word is like fire and like a hammer that breaks rock. No one can hide from God, for He fills heaven and earth. Then God showed Jeremiah two baskets of figs. The good figs were like the people taken away to Babylon, whom God would watch over, bring back, and give a heart to know Him. The bad figs were like those who refused Him. God said His people would be scattered among the nations for seventy years because they would not listen. Paul told believers not to be shaken or fooled about the day Jesus comes back. Stand firm, he said, and hold on to the truth. God chose us for salvation, and Jesus Himself gives us comfort and good hope that never ends.
