The story in children’s words

A false prophet named Hananiah broke the wooden yoke off Jeremiah's neck and said Babylon's power would end in two years. But God said the wooden yoke would become an iron one, and Hananiah died that same year, because he had made the people trust a lie. Then Jeremiah sent a letter to God's people living far away in Babylon. Build houses, plant gardens, and pray for the city where you live, he wrote. God said, "I know the plans I have for you, plans for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope. When you seek me with all your heart, you will find me." Paul told Timothy the truest saying of all: "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners." Jesus showed His patience and mercy to Paul, and He shows it to us too.
