Today’s story
After leaving Egypt, God guides Israel through the wilderness with a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night. When Pharaoh pursues them, the Lord parts the Red Sea and brings His people safely across. The waters return over the Egyptian army, and Israel responds with a song celebrating God's power, faithfulness, and victory.
Religious leaders challenge Jesus' authority. Through the parables of the two sons and the wicked tenants, Jesus exposes unbelief and rejected truth. Though rejected by many, He is the cornerstone chosen by God - the foundation of God's kingdom.
David asks God to examine his heart and expresses his desire to walk with integrity, trusting God's unfailing love and worshiping Him with thanksgiving. Proverb Summary God hates pride, lying, violence, deceit, and the stirring up of conflict. His people are called to truth, humility, and peace. Discover Jesus God's guidance through cloud and fire pointed to Someone greater. Jesus is our perfect Shepherd. Just as God made a way through the Red Sea, Jesus makes a way from sin to salvation. The story in children’s words
God led His people out of Egypt, and He went before them in a tall cloud by day and in fire by night. Pharaoh changed his mind and chased them with his chariots, and the people were trapped by the sea. Moses said, "Do not be afraid. God will fight for you." God split the sea in two, and the people walked through on dry ground. The water came back over Pharaoh's army, and God's people were safe. Then they sang a happy song to God. Many years later, Jesus told a story about workers who hurt the owner's son, but God made that Son the most important stone of all. Jesus is the Son God sent, and nothing can stop God's plan to save His people.
