Today’s story
Nahum announces Nineveh’s fall. God is patient, but cruelty and arrogant violence will not continue forever.
The seventh seal opens with silence, prayer, and trumpet judgments. Heaven takes the prayers of God’s people seriously.
Every line answers history with the same truth: God’s faithful love endures forever. Proverb Summary Agur asks for neither poverty nor riches, but enough - so that his heart will remain dependent on God. Discover Jesus Jesus assures us that evil will not last forever. The story in children’s words
Long after Jonah, Nineveh had turned cruel again, full of lies and stealing and blood. Nahum told them God is slow to anger and very strong, and He is a safe place for those who hide in Him. But Nineveh would fall, and no one could stop it. God said, "I am against you," and the great city became empty and waste. Then in heaven, the Lamb opened the seventh seal, and there was silence for a little while. Seven angels blew trumpets, and hail and fire fell, part of the sea turned to blood, and the waters grew bitter. An eagle cried, "Woe!" to the earth. Even in these hard pictures, the psalm sings on and on: God's love lasts forever. Jesus, the Lamb, holds the scroll, and His love for His people will never end.
