Kids Corner — Day 362
Zechariah 12:1–13:9 · Revelation 19:1–21 · Psalm 147:1–20 · Proverbs 31:1–7
Today’s story
Zechariah looks toward a pierced one, deep repentance, cleansing from sin, and a struck shepherd. These images find profound fulfillment in Jesus.
Heaven celebrates Babylon’s fall, the marriage supper of the Lamb, and the appearing of Christ as Faithful and True - the victorious King of kings.
God heals broken hearts, numbers the stars, provides for creation, and delights in those who fear Him and hope in His love. Proverb Summary A king must not surrender judgment to intoxication; leadership requires clear-minded concern for justice. Discover Jesus Jesus is the pierced Savior, struck Shepherd, Bridegroom, Faithful and True, and King of kings. The cross and the crown belong to the same Christ. Reflect Do I know Jesus only as gentle Savior, or also as reigning King? Fellowship Which title for Jesus in Revelation 19 most strengthens your faith, and why?
The story in children’s words
God promised to defend Jerusalem when all the nations gathered against it. He would pour out a spirit of prayer on His people, and they would look on the One they had pierced and cry for Him, as for an only son. In that day a fountain would open to wash away sin and make His people clean. Idols would be cut off, and God would make His people pure like gold and silver in the fire. They would call on His name, and He would answer, "You are my people." Then heaven burst into singing: "Hallelujah!" The wedding feast of the Lamb had come, and His bride had made herself ready in fine, bright linen. Then Jesus rode out of heaven on a white horse, called Faithful and True, with heaven's armies behind Him, and He won over the beast and its armies. Jesus is the pierced One who washes us clean, and the King who wins at the wedding feast of the Lamb.
