Today’s story

Zechariah sees the Lord reigning as King over all the earth. Even ordinary life becomes holy to the Lord.

Revelation shows Satan’s final defeat, the resurrection, the great white throne, and the final judgment before God.

All creation - heavens, earth, animals, rulers, young and old - is summoned to praise the Lord. Proverb Summary Wisdom speaks for those without a voice and defends the rights of the poor and needy. Discover Jesus Jesus will reign without rival. Evil will not be managed forever; it will be defeated, judged, and removed. Reflect If Jesus will judge every life, what unfinished obedience deserves attention now? Fellowship How should final judgment affect both our urgency in sharing the gospel and our concern for justice?

The story in children’s words

Zechariah saw the LORD's great day. All the nations would gather against Jerusalem, and the LORD Himself would come and fight for His city. His feet would stand on the Mount of Olives, living waters would flow out from Jerusalem, and the LORD would be King over all the earth. Even the little bells on the horses would say, "Holy to the LORD," and every pot in the city would be holy too. Then John saw an angel lock up the dragon, Satan, with a great chain for a thousand years, while God's people who stayed faithful lived and reigned with Christ. At the end, Satan was thrown into the lake of fire for good. Then all the dead stood before God's great white throne, and the books were opened, along with the book of life. Jesus is the King over all the earth, and His people who are written in the Lamb's book of life will reign with Him.
