The story in children’s words

God taught His people that gifts promised to Him were holy and must be treated with care. A tenth of their crops and animals belonged to the Lord. Then Moses counted the men of Israel who were old enough to serve as soldiers. There were more than six hundred thousand of them, family by family and tribe by tribe. The Levites were not counted with the soldiers. Their special work was to care for God's tent. In Jerusalem, Jesus rode into the city on a young donkey, and the crowds shouted, "Hosanna!" Jesus cleared the temple and called it a house of prayer for all nations. Jesus teaches us to have faith in God, to pray, and to forgive others.
