The story in children’s words

God told Moses to make two silver trumpets to call the people together and to start their journeys. At last the cloud lifted, and Israel marched out in order, tribe by tribe, with God's ark going before them. But soon the people complained. They were tired of the manna God gave them and wanted meat instead. Moses felt the burden was too heavy to carry alone. God promised to put His Spirit on seventy elders to help Moses lead the people. In Bethany, a woman poured costly perfume on Jesus to honor Him. Judas went to the leaders to hand Jesus over to them. At the Passover meal, Jesus sadly said one of His own friends would betray Him. Even then, Jesus went on toward the cross because He loves us.
