The story in children’s words

God gave His people three big feasts every year. At Passover they remembered the night He brought them out of Egypt. At the harvest feasts they rejoiced and shared with servants, strangers, widows, and children with no father. God also said judges must be fair and never take bribes. One day, if the people had a king, the king must write out God's law and read it every day, so his heart would not grow proud. Far away in time, crowds followed Jesus into a lonely place. Jesus fed five thousand men with five loaves and two fish, and twelve baskets of food were left over. Then Jesus asked, "Who do you say that I am?" Peter answered, "The Christ of God." Jesus said He would suffer, die, and rise on the third day. Jesus is the true King, the Christ, and following Him is worth more than the whole world.
