The story in children’s words

God warned His people never to follow anyone who led them to other gods, even if that person did wonders. He gave rules about clean foods, and He told them to share their tithes with the Levites, with strangers, with widows, and with children who had no father. Every seven years, debts were to be forgiven. God said to open your hand wide to your poor brother and give gladly. Then a leader named Jairus begged Jesus to heal his dying daughter. On the way, a woman who had been sick for twelve years touched Jesus' coat and was healed at once. People said the little girl had died, but Jesus took her hand and said, "Child, get up!" She stood up alive, and her parents were amazed. Then Jesus sent out His twelve helpers to tell the good news and heal the sick. Jesus gives life, and He teaches us to open our hands to others too.
