The story in children’s words

Moses said the new land was not like Egypt. Rain would fall from the sky, and God's eyes would watch over the land all year long. He set before the people a blessing and a curse: blessing if they listened to God, and trouble if they turned to other gods. God would choose one special place for His name, and the people would bring their gifts there and be glad together. On the lake, a great storm came up while Jesus slept in the boat. His friends woke Him, crying, "Master, we are dying!" Jesus stood up and told the wind and waves to stop, and all was calm. Then Jesus set a poor man free from many evil spirits. The man sat at Jesus' feet, dressed and in his right mind, and went home telling everyone what Jesus had done. Jesus is stronger than every storm and every evil power.
