The story in children’s words

When God's people entered the new land, each family would bring a basket of the first fruit to God. They would say thank you and tell the story of how God saved them from Egypt. They also shared what they had with the poor, the widows, and children with no father. Then Jesus visited two sisters named Martha and Mary. Martha was busy serving, but Mary sat at Jesus' feet and listened to Him. Jesus said Mary had chosen the good part. He also taught His friends to pray to God as their Father, and to keep asking, seeking, and knocking. Jesus invites us to sit close and listen to Him, just like Mary did.
