Day 184 · July 3

A devotional for today

Today’s readings

• Old Testament: 2 KINGS 22:3-23:30
• New Testament: ACTS 21:37-22:16
• Psalm: PSALM 1:1-6
• Proverb: PROVERBS 18:11-12

Old Testament

Josiah hears God’s Word, humbles himself, renews the covenant, and tears down idols. Reform begins when Scripture is taken seriously.

New Testament

Paul tells the crowd how Jesus met him, changed him, and sent him. His testimony is not about his greatness but Christ’s grace.

Psalm

The blessed life is rooted in God’s instruction rather than the counsel of the world.

Proverb

Wealth can look secure, but pride falls quickly.

Discover

Josiah responds to the written Word; Paul responds to the living Christ. Jesus does not merely give us information - He calls us to repentance, faith, and a changed life.

Reflect

Where is God’s Word asking me to change rather than merely agree?

Fellowship

Share one area where Scripture has corrected your direction.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, give me a tender heart that hears Your Word and obeys. Amen.

Live

Hear the Word. Remove one idol. Take one obedient step.
