The story in children’s words

The other tribes received their shares of the land, family by family, and God's tent was set up at a place called Shiloh. Each family received the home God had planned for them. Then Jesus passed through the town of Jericho. A short man named Zacchaeus was too small to see over the crowd, so he climbed up into a tree just to see Jesus. Jesus looked up and said, "Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house." Zacchaeus came down gladly, and he gave half of all he had to the poor. Jesus said, "Today salvation has come to this house. The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." Jesus still seeks lost people today, and He is glad to come to them.
