The story in children’s words

The Levites, who served God in His house, were given towns in every part of the land. The book says that not one word of God's good promises failed. Every promise came true. Then some of the tribes built a big altar by the Jordan River, and the other tribes feared they had turned away from God. They sent men to ask about it, and trouble was very near. Meanwhile, leaders in Jerusalem asked Jesus hard questions to try to trap Him. Jesus told a story about a vineyard owner whose workers beat his messengers and killed his beloved son. And when they asked about paying taxes, Jesus said, "Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." Jesus answers every trap with wisdom, because He is God's beloved Son.
