Day 194 · July 11
Kids Corner — Day 194
1 Chronicles 15:1–16:36 · Romans 1:18–32 · Psalm 10:1–15 · Proverbs 19:6–7
Today’s story
The ark is brought to Jerusalem with reverence, sacrifice, music, and thanksgiving. David calls the people to remember God’s works.
Paul explains humanity’s rebellion: people exchange God’s truth and glory for created things.
The psalmist asks why evil seems to prosper, yet continues calling on God.
Popularity and favor can be shallow foundations.
The story in children’s words
This time David did it God's way: only the Levites carried the ark, on their shoulders, just as Moses had commanded. With trumpets, harps, cymbals, and joyful shouting, all Israel brought the ark up to the tent David had made for it. David danced before God, gave bread and meat and raisin cakes to everyone, and set singers to thank and praise the LORD. His song said, "Give thanks to the LORD, for His loving kindness lasts forever." Paul wrote that many people knew about God from the world He made, but turned away and worshiped things God made instead of God Himself. That is why everyone needs the good news — that Jesus came to bring people back to the true God.
It points to Jesus
Chronicles shows worship directed toward God; Romans shows what happens when worship is redirected toward creation. Jesus restores us to worship the Creator.
