The story in children’s words
After Manasseh came home, he took the idols out of God's house and told Judah to serve the LORD. His son Amon did evil and did not humble himself, and he died after only two years. Then Josiah became king when he was only eight years old. While he was still young, Josiah began to seek God, and he broke down the idols all through the land. While workers were fixing God's house, they found the book of God's law. When Josiah heard it read, he tore his clothes and wept, because the people had not obeyed God. God said Josiah's heart was tender, so he would have peace in his days. Josiah read God's book to all the people, and they promised to follow the LORD with all their heart. Paul warned God's people to watch out for those who cause trouble and to be wise about what is good, for Jesus gives grace to all who belong to Him.
