The story in children’s words

While Ezra prayed and wept before God's house, a great crowd of men, women, and children gathered and wept bitterly too. They confessed that they had disobeyed God, but one man said, "There is still hope for Israel." The people promised to obey God's law, even though it was hard and took a long time to set things right. Leaders carefully looked into every case, name by name. Paul wrote that God's people should not do wrong to each other, and he reminded them how they had been changed. "You were washed, you were made holy, you were made right in the name of the Lord Jesus," he said. He also said our bodies are God's temple, because we were bought with a price. Jesus bought us at a great price, so we honor God with our lives.
