The story in children’s words

All the people gathered as one and asked Ezra to bring out the book of God's law. Ezra stood on a tall wooden platform and read from morning until noon, and the helpers explained God's words so everyone could understand. The people wept when they heard, but Nehemiah said, "Do not be sad, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." They ate, drank, and shared food with those who had none. The next day they found God's command about living in shelters for the feast, so they built shelters and celebrated with very great joy. Later they fasted, confessed their sins, and praised God, telling the whole story of Abraham, Egypt, the sea, and God's mercy in the desert. Paul said he preached the Good News of Christ freely, without asking for pay, so nothing would block the message. Jesus is the Good News Paul gave everything to share.
