The story in children’s words

Jeremiah told the people not to be afraid of idols. An idol is just wood cut from a tree, covered with silver and gold; it cannot speak or walk, and it must be carried. "There is no one like You, LORD," he said. "You are the true God, the living God, the King forever, who made the earth by Your power." But the shepherds of the people had not asked God for help, so the flock was scattered. Paul taught families to love one another: children obey your parents, and fathers be gentle, for this pleases the Lord. Whatever you do, he said, work at it with all your heart, as if you are working for the Lord. In our homes and in all we do, we serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
