The story in children’s words

Jeremiah wept for his people, because false teachers kept saying "Peace, peace," when there was no peace. "Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no doctor there?" he cried. The people had taught their tongues to lie, and no one could be trusted. God said the truly wise person should not boast in wisdom or riches, but in knowing God, who shows kindness, justice, and righteousness. Paul told believers to set their minds on things above, where Christ sits at God's right hand. Put off anger and lies, he said, and put on kindness, humility, and love, forgiving others just as Christ forgave you. Whatever we do, we should do it in the name of the Lord Jesus, with thankful hearts.
