The story in children’s words

God said, "Stand at the crossroads and ask for the old, good way, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls." But the people said, "We will not walk in it." God told them that just saying "The temple! The temple!" would not save them if they kept stealing, lying, and hurting widows and children with no father. He wanted them to change their ways and be fair and kind. Paul warned God's people not to be fooled by empty ideas that do not come from Christ. In Jesus, all of God lives, and He made us alive, forgave all our sins, and nailed the list of our wrongs to the cross. Jesus won the victory, and no rule about food or special days can add to what He has done.
