Day 274 · September 29
Isaiah cries for God to act, remembers His mercy, confesses sin, and looks toward God's promise of new heavens and a new earth where former troubles are forgotten.

Isaiah closes with God looking favorably on the humble person who trembles at His word.
Day 277 · October 2
God's people had forgotten Him and run after idols made of wood and stone, even though He had loved them and led them like a faithful husband.

Jeremiah's heart hurt as he warned the people, because they would not listen to God or do what is right.

God said, "Stand at the crossroads and ask for the old, good way, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls." But the people said, "We will not walk in it." God told them that just saying "The temple!
