The story in children’s words
Jeremiah asked God a hard question: "Why do wicked people seem to do so well?" God answered that harder days were coming, and Jeremiah must trust Him and keep going. God had Jeremiah buy a linen belt, hide it by the river, and dig it up ruined, to show how His proud people had become spoiled by turning away. Then a terrible dry time came, with no rain, and the people cried out for water. Paul thanked God for the believers in Thessalonica, whose faith, love, and hope were famous everywhere. They had turned away from idols to serve the living and true God. Now they were waiting for God's Son from heaven, Jesus, whom God raised from the dead.
