The story in children’s words

False prophets kept telling the people, "You will have peace," but God had not sent them, and hard days of sword and hunger were really coming. Jeremiah wept night and day for his people and prayed, "We have sinned against You, LORD. Do not break Your promise with us." Jeremiah said when he found God's words, he ate them up, and they were his joy, even though speaking them made him suffer and feel alone. Yet God promised that one day He would bring His people back to their land, and they would praise Him for it. Paul loved the believers like a father loves his children, working night and day so he would not be a burden. He sent Timothy to cheer them up and make their faith strong. Following Jesus can be hard, but God keeps His people standing.
