The story in children’s words

The people left in the land asked Jeremiah to pray and promised, "Whether it is good or bad, we will obey the LORD." After ten days God answered: stay in the land, do not be afraid, and I will build you up. But if you run away to Egypt, the troubles you fear will find you there. The people would not listen. They took Jeremiah with them to Egypt, and even there they kept burning incense to a false goddess they called the queen of heaven. Paul told Timothy to be strong in the grace of Christ Jesus, like a good soldier, and to pass God's teaching on to faithful people who can teach others. He said to remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead. God's word is never chained, and even when we are faithless, Jesus remains faithful.
