The story in children’s words

God spoke against Damascus, the desert peoples, and Elam, saying their strength would melt away like water. Yet He promised to bring Elam back in the last days. Then God turned to mighty Babylon, the empire that had carried His people away. Babylon would fall, and her idols would be put to shame. In those days, God's people would come home weeping, seeking the LORD and joining themselves to Him in a promise that would never be forgotten. God said, "Their Redeemer is strong; He will surely plead their cause." Paul left Titus on the island of Crete to set things in order and choose honest, kind leaders for God's people. God, who never lies, promised eternal life long ago, and He kept that promise in our strong Redeemer, Jesus Christ.
