Day 310 · November 6
Kids Corner — Day 310
Ezekiel 14:12–16:41 · Hebrews 7:18–28 · Psalm 106:1–12 · Proverbs 27:4–6
Today’s story
Jerusalem's unfaithfulness is described painfully. Even righteous examples cannot excuse a generation determined to rebel.
Jesus lives forever to intercede and is able to save completely those who come to God through Him.
Give thanks for God's steadfast love despite human sin.
Jealousy can be fiercer than anger; faithful wounds from a friend can be loving.
The story in children’s words
God told Ezekiel a story about Jerusalem, and He told it like the story of a little baby girl. No one had cared for her or washed her or wrapped her in blankets. But God passed by, saw her, and said, "Live!" He cared for her, washed her, dressed her in fine clothes and jewels, and made her beautiful like a queen. It is a picture of how God loved His helpless people and made them His own. But when she grew up, she forgot God's kindness and ran after idols, so sadness came. The letter to the Hebrews gives the good news: other priests died and had to be replaced, but Jesus lives forever. He offered Himself once for all to save us, and He always prays for those who come to God through Him. God found us helpless, loved us first, and Jesus keeps loving and praying for us forever.
It points to Jesus
Jesus does not merely begin salvation; He lives to intercede and saves completely.
