Today’s story

Israel's history is a cycle of rebellion, yet God acts for the sake of His name. His holiness and faithfulness endure.

Christ enters the true sanctuary with His own blood and secures eternal redemption once for all.

The redeemed are invited to thank the LORD for His steadfast love.

Wisdom in a child brings joy.

The story in children’s words

Some leaders came to ask Ezekiel for a word from God, but God first told them the long, sad story of His people. Again and again, from Egypt, through the desert, and into the good land, the people turned away to idols. Again and again, God held back His anger for the sake of His name, and He did not give up on them. One day, God promised, He would gather His people back, cleanse them, and let them serve Him on His holy mountain. The psalm sings of people who were lost, hungry, chained, sick, and tossed on stormy seas — and every time they cried to the LORD, He saved them. Then the letter to the Hebrews tells the best part: Jesus came as High Priest and entered heaven itself, not with the blood of goats, but with His own blood, once for all. Jesus will come again to save those who are waiting for Him, and His love never gives up.

It points to Jesus

Jesus' sacrifice is sufficient. Gratitude begins where striving to earn forgiveness ends.
