The story in children’s words
God told Ezekiel about Gog, a prince from the far north who would bring a huge army against God's people in the last days. But God Himself would defeat Gog on the mountains of Israel. His bow would be knocked from his hand, his army would fall, and Israel would burn the leftover weapons for fuel for seven whole years. Then God promised to bring His people back from every land, pour out His Spirit on them, and never hide His face from them again. After that, in a vision, God took Ezekiel to a very high mountain and showed him a shining man with a measuring stick, carefully measuring the gates and courts of a new temple. James teaches that faith without works is dead — real faith shows in what we do, like Abraham's and Rahab's. He also warns that the little tongue can start a big fire, so we must guard our words, and he says God's wisdom is pure, peaceful, and gentle. The psalm sings, "Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love lasts forever." The LORD is our strength and our salvation, and Jesus is the living proof of God's forever love.
It points to Jesus
The cornerstone of Psalm 118 and the living faith of James converge in Jesus: genuine trust in Him becomes visible.
