The story in children’s words
Bad men called Amalekites came to fight God's people. Joshua led the army, and Moses held up his hands on a hill. When Moses' hands were up, God's people won, and Aaron and Hur helped hold them up until the sun went down. Then Moses' father-in-law Jethro came and gave him good advice about sharing the work. The people came to Mount Sinai, and God said they would be His special people if they obeyed Him. Jesus said the greatest rule of all is to love God with all your heart and to love other people as yourself. Jesus summed up all of God's rules in one word: love.
