Today’s story

Hosea closes by calling Israel to return to the Lord. God promises healing, love, and fruitfulness to those who come back to Him.

Jude urges believers to contend for the faith, resist corrupt influences, show mercy, and trust the God who is able to keep them from falling.

Human labor is empty when God is left out. Home, work, security, and family are gifts entrusted by Him. Proverb Summary Wise correction is an act of love that can produce peace and maturity. Discover Jesus Jesus receives repentant sinners and keeps His people. Our confidence is not in our grip on Him but in His power to keep us. Reflect What do I need to bring honestly back to God? Fellowship Pray together for someone who has wandered from faith, asking for mercy and restoration.

The story in children’s words

Hosea told how Israel grew like a vine but used its riches to make more idols. God remembered that when Israel was a child, He loved him and called His son out of Egypt. God taught him to walk and fed him with love, but the people kept turning away. God's heart ached, and He said, "How can I give you up?" At the end, Hosea called, "Israel, come back to the LORD!" God promised to heal His people, love them freely, and make them bloom like flowers again. Jude told God's people to keep building themselves up in faith and to stay in God's love, waiting for the mercy of Jesus. Jesus is the One who can keep us from falling and bring us glad and clean into God's bright presence.
