The story in children’s words
God told Jonah to go to the great city of Nineveh, but Jonah ran away on a ship. A huge storm came, and Jonah told the sailors to throw him into the sea, and the sea grew calm. A great fish swallowed Jonah, and after three days it spit him out on dry land. Jonah went to Nineveh, and the people and their king said sorry to God, so God did not destroy their city. Jonah was angry, but God taught him that He cares about the many people of Nineveh. Then John saw a scroll in heaven that no one could open, until the Lamb came. Jesus, the Lamb who was killed, took the scroll, and all heaven sang that He is worthy, because He bought people for God from every nation with His blood.
