Today’s story

God continues giving laws that emphasize justice, honesty, compassion for the vulnerable, and respect for life and property. Holiness is displayed not only in worship but also in how God's people treat one another.

Jesus foretells the Temple's destruction and warns of deception, persecution, wars, and suffering. His followers are not to live in fear but to remain faithful and watchful, trusting God's sovereign plan as the gospel continues to be proclaimed.

David calls creation to give glory to the Lord. God's voice is powerful and majestic; the God who rules the storm gives strength and peace to His people. Proverb Summary Wisdom warns of temptation's subtle path. Small compromises can end in great sorrow, so wisdom listens to God's voice before temptation arrives. Discover Jesus God's laws reveal His holy standard and humanity's need for a Savior. Jesus is the perfect fulfillment of God's righteousness. The story in children’s words

God gave His people many fair rules for everyday life. No one may steal, and anyone who hurts another person must make it right. God said to take special care of widows, children with no father, poor people, and strangers from other lands. He even said to help your enemy if his donkey falls down under a heavy load. Everyone, even the animals, must rest on the seventh day. Then Jesus told His friends that hard times would come, with wars and people pretending to be Him. But the good news of Jesus will be told to the whole world, and those who hold on to the end will be saved. Jesus will come back, just as He promised.
