The story in children’s words

Bezalel built the golden box called the ark, with two golden angels on its lid, their wings spread out over it. He made the golden table, the lamp with seven lamps shaped like flowers, and the altars for God's tent. Everything was made exactly the way God had shown Moses. Then came the best morning ever. On the first day of the week, an angel rolled the stone away from Jesus' tomb, and the tomb was empty! Jesus was alive again! He told His friends, "Go and tell everyone in the whole world the good news." Jesus promised, "I am with you always." The risen Jesus is with us every day, just as He said.

It points to Jesus

Yesterday the tomb was sealed. Today it is empty. Jesus defeated sin and death. The Tabernacle reminded Israel that God wanted to dwell among His people. Now the risen Jesus promises: “I am with you always.” And because He lives, His followers have a mission: Go and tell others about Him. The story does not end at the empty tomb. It goes out into the world.

Talk about it

Ask one another: How does knowing that Jesus is alive change the way we live?
