The story in children’s words

God said, "Be holy, because I, the LORD your God, am holy." He taught His people to respect their mothers and fathers, and to rest on His Sabbath day. When farmers picked their crops, they had to leave the corners of their fields and the fallen grapes for poor people and strangers. God said not to steal, not to lie, and not to be unkind to a deaf or blind person. Best of all, He said, "Love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus healed a blind man at Bethsaida, and the man could see clearly. Peter said to Jesus, "You are the Christ," and he was right! Then Jesus told His friends that He would suffer and die, and rise again. Jesus said that anyone who wants to follow Him must take up his cross too. Following Jesus is the way to real life.
