The story in children’s words

Moses told the people to listen to God's words and not add to them or take away from them. He said to teach God's words to their children and their children's children. Israel had heard God's voice out of the fire on the mountain, but they saw no shape, so they must never make an idol picture of God. Moses said God is a merciful God. Even if His people wandered far away, He would not forget His promise when they searched for Him with all their heart. In the New Testament, Jesus told a story about two builders. The wise man built his house on rock, and it stood firm in the flood. Then a Roman captain asked Jesus to heal his servant. He said, "Just say the word, and my servant will be healed." Jesus praised his great faith, and the servant was made well. Building our lives on Jesus' words is building on the rock.
