The story in children’s words

Moses told the people why God chose Israel. It was not because they were big or great. They were the smallest of peoples, but God loved them and kept His promise to their fathers. In the desert, God fed them with manna to teach them that people do not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Their clothes did not wear out for forty years. Moses warned them not to forget God when they ate good food in the new land. At a dinner, a woman who had done many wrong things washed Jesus' feet with her tears. She dried them with her hair and poured perfume on them. Jesus told a story about two men whose debts were forgiven, and the one forgiven more loved more. Jesus said to the woman, "Your sins are forgiven. Your faith has saved you. Go in peace." Jesus forgives much, and those He forgives love Him much.
